Released in 2026, Jonatan is the latest studio album from Swedish artist Yung Lean, marking another evolution in an already restless career. Moving beyond the cloud rap and melancholic hip hop that first made him a global cult figure, the album draws on indie rock, art pop, psychedelia and experimental songwriting. Across the record, Lean blurs the line between his Yung Lean persona and the more introspective singer-songwriter identity developed through his Jonatan Leandoer96 work, resulting in one of his most direct and personal releases to date.
This 1LP edition was released on 31 July 2026 through World Affairs AB/AWAL and features the complete 13-track sequence. The album moves from the atmospheric Jonatan Intro through Forever Yung, Horses, Paranoid Paparazzi and I'm Your Dirt, I'm Your Love before closing with Terminator Symphony and Lessons From Above. Jonatan presents Yung Lean in a more expansive and unpredictable setting, embracing a broader alternative sound without losing the introspective character that has defined his work.
