Originally released in 1991, Trompe Le Monde is the fourth and final studio album from Pixies before their initial split. Produced by Gil Norton, the album pushes the band's alternative rock sound into heavier, more energetic territory, balancing distorted guitars and Black Francis' surreal songwriting with flashes of power pop and space rock.
The album features some of the Pixies' most enduring tracks, including Planet Of Sound, Alec Eiffel, Head On, U-Mass and Motorway To Roswell. This 2026 remastered edition has been newly mastered from the original analogue tapes by Kevin Vanbergen, revealing additional depth and detail across the original fifteen-track sequence.
