Released in 2026, Nothing’s About to Happen to Me is the eighth studio album from Mitski, following The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We. Produced and engineered by longtime collaborator Patrick Hyland, the album continues Mitski’s increasingly rich and orchestral approach, combining live instrumentation with ensemble arrangements and a full orchestra. At its centre is the story of a reclusive woman living in an unkempt house, exploring isolation, freedom, desire and the strange relationship between the private and outside worlds.
This Indie Exclusive Tansy Yellow edition is pressed as a 1LP through Dead Oceans and housed in a gatefold sleeve. Released on 27 February 2026, the eleven-track sequence includes Where’s My Phone?, If I Leave, I’ll Change for You and Lightning, continuing Mitski’s evolution towards a more expansive sound while retaining the intimacy and emotional precision that have defined her songwriting.
