Released in 2021, CRAWLER is the fourth studio album from Bristol post-punk band IDLES, following Ultra Mono. Produced alongside Kenny Beats and guitarist Mark Bowen, the album finds the band turning inward, exploring trauma, addiction, heartbreak and recovery while retaining the visceral energy and dark humour of their earlier work. Musically, it pushes beyond straightforward punk into more experimental territory, incorporating blues, soul, hip hop and electronic textures.
This Deluxe Edition is pressed as a 2LP set on heavyweight 180g black vinyl, mastered at half-speed and cut at 45RPM, with a gatefold jacket and printed inner sleeves. Released through Partisan Records in November 2021, the 14-track sequence includes MTT 420 RR, Car Crash, The Beachland Ballroom, Crawl! and Progress, capturing IDLES at a more reflective yet equally powerful stage in their evolution.
