Released in 2026, The Mountain is the ninth studio album from Gorillaz, bringing Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett's virtual band into another expansive, genre-blurring chapter. Produced by Gorillaz alongside James Ford, Samuel Egglenton, Remi Kabaka Jr. and Bizarrap, the album was recorded across London, Devon, Miami, Jaipur, Mumbai, New Delhi and Rishikesh. Its 15 tracks draw on alternative rock, electronic music, hip hop, soul and global influences, with an unusually broad cast of collaborators.
This standard Black Bio Vinyl edition is pressed as a 2LP set, housed in a gatefold sleeve with printed inner sleeves and a 12" insert featuring Jamie Hewlett's original artwork. Released in February 2026 through Kong Studios Essex, the album features contributions from Johnny Marr, IDLES, Sparks, Black Thought, Anoushka Shankar, Paul Simonon, Yasiin Bey and many others, making The Mountain one of Gorillaz's most ambitious and musically diverse releases.
