Originally released in 1980, Heaven And Hell is the ninth studio album from Black Sabbath and the first to feature Ronnie James Dio on vocals following Ozzy Osbourne’s departure. Produced by Martin Birch, the album marked a powerful new chapter for the band, combining Tony Iommi’s unmistakable riffs with Dio’s soaring vocals and a darker, more epic approach to heavy metal. The album includes classics such as Neon Knights, Children Of The Sea, Die Young and the monumental title track.
This Deluxe Edition 2LP pressing was released on 4 November 2022 through BMG and features the newly remastered original album alongside a second LP of rare B-sides, alternate versions and live recordings from Hartford Civic Center in 1980. Housed in a gatefold sleeve, the expanded 15-track set includes live versions of Children Of The Sea, Heaven And Hell and Die Young, making it an essential edition of one of Black Sabbath’s defining albums.
