Released in 2013, AM is the fifth studio album from Sheffield's Arctic Monkeys and the record that cemented their evolution from indie-rock newcomers into a global rock act. Produced by James Ford and co-produced by Ross Orton, the album combines the band's guitar-driven songwriting with darker grooves, hip-hop-inspired rhythms, blues-rock swagger and atmospheric production. Featuring Josh Homme among its guest contributors, AM is anchored by the defining singles Do I Wanna Know?, R U Mine? and Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?
This heavyweight 180g 1LP pressing is housed in a gatefold sleeve and features the album's complete 12-track sequence. Released through Domino, the record moves from the brooding opening of Do I Wanna Know? through to I Wanna Be Yours, with Arabella, No. 1 Party Anthem, Knee Socks and Snap Out Of It further showcasing the band's darker, more polished direction. AM remains one of Arctic Monkeys' most commercially successful and enduring albums.
