Originally released in 1995, Classics collects some of Aphex Twin's earliest and most influential recordings, bringing together material from the Digeridoo, Xylem Tube and Analogue Bubblebath releases alongside key remixes. The compilation captures Richard D. James at the beginning of his career, laying the groundwork for the experimental techno, acid and breakbeat sound that would make him one of electronic music's most influential artists.
This 2LP edition features a fresh vinyl cut by mastering engineer Beau Thomas and includes an R&S Records sticker sheet. From the relentless Digeridoo and Phlange Phace to the atmospheric Polynomial-C and Digeridoo (Live In Cornwall, 1990), Classics offers an essential snapshot of Aphex Twin's groundbreaking early work.
